Situated near the center of the Purwokerto town, Mount Slamet is a strenuous summit to hike that rewards climbers with gorgeous panoramic landscape. Hikers have several trails to choose from, which begin from different sides of the mountain. Bambangan trail is the most popular routes for hiking Mt Slamet with the entry point just near the main road to Purbalingga. As the highest mountain – volcano – in Central Java, hikers will have to gain about 1,491 meters to meet at the 3,428 meter summit from the entry point Bambangan (1,937m)

Itinerary

2 Days Program Jakarta – Mt Slamet Basecamp in Bambangan, Purwokerto

DAY 1
– 1 AM, meet at the agreed meeting point in Jakarta, then transfer to Mt Slamet basecamp (6 hours drive)
– Arrive at the base of Mt Slamet, have a breakfast, final preparation for hiking
– Transfer to Mt Slamet trailhead, 30 minutes motorcycle drive
– Start hiking to Camp 7 Mt slamet
– Lunch en-route
– Dinner and overnight at Camp 7

DAY 2
– Early wakeup at 3 AM for summit bid, normally it takes 2 hours, snacks and hot drink are provided
– Enjoy the sunrise, then back to Camp 7
– Breakfast, start descend down to the entry point of Mt Slamet
– Motor cycle transfer to the basecamp
– Lunch then prepare to drive back to Jakarta
– Drive back to Jakarta
– End of service

3 Days program Jakarta – Mt Slamet basecamp in Bambangan, Purwokerto

DAY 1
– 8 AM, meet at the agreed meeting point in Jakarta, then transfer to your hotel in Purwokerto
– Lunch en-route
– Dinner at the hotel ( at your own expense)

DAY 2
– After breakfast at your hotel, transfer to Mt Slamet basecamp
– Arrive at the base of Mt Slamet, final preparation for hiking
– Transfer to Mt Slamet trailhead, 30 minutes motorcycle drive
– Start hiking to Camp 7 Mt slamet
– Lunch en-route
– Dinner and overnight at Camp 7

DAY 3
